Early Beginnings

Born and raised in Haiti, DJ Black Magic moved to America in 2017, seeking new opportunities to pursue his passion for music. His journey began humbly, borrowing his cousin’s iPad to learn music production. Inspired by his favorite Afro Beats DJ, DJ FanFan of Port-au-Prince, DJ Black Magic quickly honed his skills, becoming adept at both creating music and connecting people.

Creating a Community

DJ Black Magic is becoming a beloved figure in Miami. He's a local favorite, not only for his musical talent but also for his positivity and kindness. One of his favorite sayings, "I'm old school, please and thank you, ya' know," embodies his respectful and warm approach. With his unique style and infectious energy, Magic is brewing to be Miami's next hot ticket.

What is your passion?

"Music. It allows me to get into the zone. It’s like a mantra."

How did you discover your passion?

"I discovered my passion in Haiti. I was a big fan of DJ FanFan from Port-au-Prince. He plays Haitian music, which is heavily influenced by African music."

What recommendations do you have for others looking to find their passion?

"Just try things, seek feedback, and apply that feedback."

Projects you’re working on that everyone should know about?

"Producing music, making beats, and DJing. I am also growing a clothing line soon, which is part of my passion in fashion"
